You may hear us use the term ‘scenes’ when it comes to lighting control, and if you’re wondering what that means then this post is for you!
With Rako, a smart lighting control system, you have the ability to create and recall different ‘scenes’.
A ‘scene’ is a pre-programmed lighting arrangement that utilises the chosen lights to create a mood.
Examples of this can be a scene set to ‘Morning’, which will turn on all of the Kitchen’s lights to a slightly dimmed setting. Or ‘Movie Night’, which will turn off any main lighting in the Lounge and dim side lights. All of this can be achieved through one touch of a button, eliminating the process of manually turning on/off and dimming lights.
The best thing about creating your scenes is that these can be moulded to suit your lifestyle and preferences.
And did you know – Rako integrates with blinds, curtains & other smart home systems so you can transform your whole room!
Here’s an example of 2 different Scene Settings we use for our own office:
When ‘Office’ is pressed on the keypad:
– Downlights & Side Lights turn on to 100%
– The Speakers are turned on to our favourite radio station
– Motorised blinds rise automatically
When ‘Movie’ is pressed on the keypad
– Downlights switch off
– Sidelights dim to 20%
– Speakers stop playing the Radio Station & switch function to the TV
– Motorised blinds lower automatically
– TV automatically turns on
And all of this happens in a smooth, short fade to create a gradual transition between each scene!
Creating Scenes goes beyond just having lights on and off. They allow you to create moods, increase comfort and make life that little bit easier.
