Project: Suffolk Farm House
Location: Suffolk
We loved working on this Suffolk Farm House project. This project was the clients first time they had invested in a system with Cerebrum. They were so impressed with our work, they got us back to work on their Garden & Pool House project.
With TV’s coming out of console units, a centralised Lighting system & an Audio set up, this transformed the beautiful Lounge, Kitchen, Dining area into party central. All systems are brought together by a Uni-Fi Home Network.

Wired Rako Lighting & Blind Control:
We installed a full wired Rako Lighting Control System within the property.
We opted to use Rako EOS Keypads within the property, which gives the client control of their Lighting locally via a Keypad enabling them to create that perfect lighting scene at the touch of a button.
Rako RAK 8 Boards & Dimming/Switching/Blind Modules located centrally back in the plant room.
Full App Control either from the Control 4 or Rako App
Sonos Multi Room Audio in every habitable area.
Main House Audio:
The Lounge area has a Sonos Wireless 5.1 set up, which includes the following:
- Sonos Beam Soundbar & TV attachment bracket
- Sonos Wireless Gen 3 Subwoofer
- Two Origin in-ceiling speakers (Rears) powered by a Sonos Amp
The Dining area has a Sonos Wireless 5.1 set up, which includes the following:
- Sonos Arc Soundbar & TV attachment bracket
- Sonos Wireless Gen 3 Subwoofer
- Two Origin in-ceiling speakers (Rears) powered by a Sonos Amp
Other Audio Areas include:
- Kitchen / Dining
- Master Bedroom
- Drawing Room
- Master En-Suite & Dressing room
- All areas with TV have
Audio return, meaning the client has the TV sound through the speakers.
To accompany the Sonos Amps we decided to install our trusty Origin Acoustic 8” in-ceiling speakers with speaker hoods throughout. With the ease of install & the potential to upgrade to the origin speakers, these were a great option for this client.
Pool House Audio:
Within the Pool House, we Installed 8” Origin Acoustic In-Ceiling speakers in the lounge, dining and kitchen area. The Origin Speakers are being driven by Sonos amps, which are located within the 9U AV rack.
The party continues outside, with Bowers & Wilkins AM-1 Outdoor Speakers. These speakers are ideal for this environment, as they’re resistant to dust, moisture and UV exposure.
All areas with TV have Audio return, meaning the client has the TV sound through the speakers.
TV Distribution:
We Installed LG G2 OLED TV’s throughout – Locations below:
- Lounge Area,
- Dining / Kitchen
- Drawing Room
- Master Bedroom
- Pool House
Each Location has a Future Automation Motion Bracket, which gives you ease of movement with motion. Using the Future Automation bracket allows our client to have very simple control of the bracket by being able to move it seamlessly and easily to their desired angle.
TV Automation:
Within the Lounge Area, we installed a Future Automation pop up motorised bracket within the console unit.
This way if the client was to want their Lounge area “TV Free” they can opt for this by keeping the TV Hidden, allowing them to have a lounge that is for socialising.
AV & Network Rack
Within the Main House, we were given the space to be able to install a 27U Sanus Rack. This way, everything can be centrally located within the property in one location. We were given the correct ventilation & cooling so we can keep everything at the right temperature within the area. This is majorly important when it comes to the longevity of electronic equipment.
In the Pool House, we installed a smaller 9U AV / Network Rack, which houses all of the AV & Network equipment.
Network & Fibre Distribution: The most important part of the whole installation.
We decided to install a Full Ubiquiti Network within the House & Pool House
We had to run Fibre cable links from Main house to the Outbuildings, by using OS2 Fibre Cable across all areas. This way, the homeowner is future proofed for the ever growing speeds that come with Home Networks.
This gives the homeowner a Full distributed (Wireless & Wired) Home Network throughout. We achieved this by using the following kit Internally & Externally
- Dream Machine Pro
- 48 Port POE Pro Network Switch
- In-Wall U6 Access Points
- U6 Pro Access Points
- Exterior U6 Access Points
Ajax Home Security Alarm:
We installed an Ajax Alarm system through the main house & the Pool House.
Composed of Camera PIR’s, Door/Window contacts & Internal/External Sounders, we made sure this home & pool house is covered for every eventuality.
Ubiquiti CCTV Cameras:
When the client came to us they were not really security conscious, but once we installed our Uni-Fi G4 Cameras, they noticed how good they were & they wanted more.
We ended up installing u to 8 x cameras around the Main House & Pool House.
With a Pro NVR & the correct Storage, we are able to give the clients full 4K Cameras running a constant record for at least 30 days.
Maintenance & Aftercare:
With everything being controlled within this project, we made the client aware that Maintenance is key.
This client opted for our Silver Service. Giving them the following.
- 4 annual visits per year (scheduled or call-out)
- 4 hour remote service (phone or system log in)
